Off The Shelf Rally Car

I don’t collect die-cast model cars. I do buy them though, but I hand them over to the kids since I believe the cars you play with when you are very young will influence you for the rest of your life. Usually they are Hotwheels (the cool, realistic ones, not the weird fantasy racers), but there are exceptions: Saw this one at the local Ralph’s supermarket on the shelf sitting between cheap looking super cars and trucks. I feel I had to safe it. It has all the details of Petter Solberg’s Subaru Impreza WRC2007, correct number and even a roll cage for only 5 Dollars! So now it’s sitting on my desk, giving me inspiration until some little person will ask me for the keys to hoon it over the floor.

  1. We’re keen on diecast matchbox cars in our house, especially the older, sturdier kind we both grew up with. My partner is fond of that particular model.

    • Matchbox here are not that great anymore. I remember the old ones. But Hot Wheels are so much cooler now. The model is ‘2007 Subaru Impreza WRC Racing’ 1:36 Scale made by Kinsmart in China (where else?)
